Living My Best Life

Hello family and friends! ūüôā

It has been a while since my last update on college life! I am not one who breaks the rules too often but I have been going to bed at 10:30 on some nights (I’m getting wild, I know)! But other than that, I have gotten into the routine of college life. And I am loving it! My roommate and I wake up at 5:50 and go exercise every morning! And then, I usually return at 7 and shower. And then my favorite part of the day comes:¬†breakfast. I look forward to breakfast every single day, and I cannot express my undying love for the breakfast that is served at Ruth’s marketplace (a.k.a our cafeteria).

….

Also, I really¬†have been enjoying my classes! The thing that I like about college is that I’m in charge of my education. I don’t have to go to school for eight hours straight anymore. I have classes that are an hour long, and then I can go back to my dorm and work, study, or take a nap (power naps are the best!). And I feel the most productive this way. I can study in short bursts instead of doing it all at once!¬†

Another thing that I have been involved in is intramural volleyball! This was a lot of fun for a couple of reasons. I was able to play volleyball every week, and I’ve missed playing volleyball. But the reason that it made it so much fun was all of my friends. We laughed more than we played volleyball. Sure, we weren’t the greatest team, but there wasn’t a time when I wasn’t laughing. There was no pressure to be the best player; the main concern was just to have fun. And I did just that!

Our pumpkins!

Another fun thing that I did this weekend was going back home and show my friends around! First, we went to the farmer’s market where we picked our itty bitty pumpkins! And I wanted to show them to our local coffee shop, and we all sat and conversed whilst sipping our delightful drinks. And then my dear friend and roommate made us lunch! I have never had better spaghetti and meatballs and homemade bread! After stuffing myself with yummy spaghetti, we painted our itty bitty pumpkins and played games. This was a wonderfully autumnal Saturday!

“Welcome to fortknight”

One of my most favorite things about college so far is the friends that I have made. They make me laugh every day! We always have so much fun even while doing homework (or pretending to). The other day we decided to build a fort in the lounge. It’s all the little things like this that I love about my Bergstrom buddies. Who said that honor students couldn’t have fun?

….

Another thing that I am super excited about is the club that I’m starting up. I have decided that SNC needs a stronger Native American presence. And so, I sent out an email gauging the interest among Native students and received a great response. Our numbers¬†aren’t many, but our passion is strong! I am so excited to see where the Native American Council will go!

….

I truly have been enjoying college life! There are so many good things going on in my life that I am beyond grateful.

Thanks for reading!!
